GEAR TESTS: Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Underwater Camera Review

The Canon R5 and Canon R5C continue to be some of my favorite hybrid cameras. Both are capable of shooting both great stills and video but the R5 focuses more on stills where the R5C focuses more on video. The 45mp sensor delivers clean high res. images with that great Canon color. The full lineup of EF and the new RF lenses give you choices for just about any shooting situation. I love that the camera and Nauticam housing have 3 control dials. Aperture, shutter and ISO can all be directly accessed without pushing additional buttons. For video, the R5 is quite capable with the headline spec of 8K Raw 30fps. One setting that often gets overlooked is the 4K 60fps in super 35 crop mode. In the super 35 mode, the image is over sampled similar to the 4K HQ 30fps mode which looks great.
